What did you do before you joined esure?

I joined esure in February 2008, I previously worked in HR for a railway engineering / project management company in London. Prior to that, I studied Sociology & Behaviour in Organisations at Lancaster University.

What sort of things does your job involve?

As an HR Business Partner my current job involves a wide variety of activities. In any one day I can be contributing to HR Policy, working closely with my client group (IT) on a range of issues or even recruiting for available vacancies.

What do you like most about your job?

It has to be the variety of activities – no two days are the same. I also enjoy planning my own working schedule, although no matter how hard you plan, working so closely with people can mean you find yourself dealing with the unexpected, so the schedule quite often goes out of the window!

What’s it like to work at esure?

When I first joined esure, I found that the culture was very different to that of my previous company. However, I found the people here very friendly and was made to feel very welcome right from day one. The working environment is very team based and you are expected to work hard, but at the same time it’s a lot of fun!

What do you like most about the company?

I really enjoy the people I get to work with. There are a lot of talented people here and everyone is very supportive and hard working. The rewards are good too – you do get recognition for a job well done.

How do you see your career with esure progressing?

I’m looking forward to working on new projects, especially those that have a real impact to the success of esure. Working at esure means I have the ability to suggest how HR is used to best effect.

What would you say to anyone who’s thinking about joining esure?

Go for it, I know that esure get a lot of applications but don’t let that put you off. There are a wide variety of jobs here and esure are always on the lookout for people who relish working in a challenging and successful environment. Not to mention, the many opportunities available to develop your career.
